Hi, I am a retired UVA professor and also a former high school physics teacher. I have an undergraduate degree from Yale University and a masters in Biomedical Engineering from UVA. As a former UVA medical student and a Yale premed student, I can relate well with premed students working through their premed science requirements. I love science and I love teaching. My rates range from $16/hr/student to $40/hr/student as follows: One student: $40/hr (individual session) Two students: $32/hr per student (group session) Three students: $28/hr per student (group session) Four students: $20/hr per student (group session) Five students: $16/hr per student (group session) Your first session is free. A one hour deposit is required to hold a reservation after the first session. The deposit is a non-refundable credit, which may be applied to your last session. Please note, I require 24 hrs advanced notice if you want to cancel or 4 hrs notice to reschedule a session without losing your deposit. Please let me know if you cannot make your appointment. Just not showing up will cost you your deposit. I have my own classroom for tutoring located on Arlington Boulevard, next to Barracks Road Shopping Center and down the street from the Law School. (By bus, take the UVA Northline Bus to McDonalds). I am in the Virginia's Staffing/Globe Travel Building, which is between the Moneywise/Kaplan Building and the University of Virginia Community Credit Union Building. The street address is 1932 Arlington Boulevard. I'm on the terrace level which is on the left side of the building. Use the driveway directly across from University Florists and look for suite 7, which is the next to the last suite toward the back. (Map) Please do not bring food or drink to the tutoring session.
